KELSO SOCCER CLUB MEETING MINUTES:  MAY 18, 2010

Meeting called to order: 7:10 pm

Minutes approved from the April 2010 meeting.

Present: Morgan Aberle, Phil Dahl, Sarah Dahl, Sean Kiffe, Jennifer Murray, Linda Schulz, 
Josh Thompson, Nicole Vazquez, Lorla Victoriano, Jennifer Sharer

PRESIDENT: The restructuring/consolidation process of the Cowlitz Youth Soccer Association 
(CYSA) is still a work in progress.

VICE PRESIDENT: Sweatshirts have been ordered and should be available shortly.

TREASURER: Current bills to be paid: PUD - $11.50, Qwest - $42.62, Mower fuel - $22.82, 
Youth Referees - $56.00, Certified Referees – $874.00, Mole Traps - $23.72. MSA to approve 
the treasurer’s report and pay the bills as presented.

DIRECTOR OF COACHES: Position open. 

REGISTRAR: CYSA consolidation may increase workload initially for registrations as each 
player will have to register through the CYSA website (setting up a new account). 
Registration for Fall Soccer begins after June 1 (check www.cowlitzyouthsoccer.com; click 
on Kelso link to register). Open registration dates will be June 22 and July 20 at 5-7PM, 
and June 26 and July 17 at 10AM-12noon at the TamO clubhouse. 

DIRECTOR OF EQUIPMENT: Nicole Vazquez will send an email out to all coaches to return 
equipment after the season in early June to get an accurate equipment count.

DIRECTOR OF SPONSORS: No new information.

DIRECTOR OF FIELDS: Manasco fields are in good condition. 

DIRECTOR OF REFEREES: We lost some of our Youth referees so there has been a drop off in 
recent games covered. Still in need of certified referees.

COMMISSIONER’S REPORT: Timber Baron select teams will compete with the Portland Metro League 
next season. WSYSA is considering a proposal to financially support the USSF in the US bid to 
host a World Cup in 2018 or 2022.

OLD BUSINESS: N/A

NEW BUSINESS: Looking into a WSYSA program that involves the Seattle Sounders visiting 
\Elementary schools across the state.
