KELSO SOCCER CLUB MEETING MINUTES:  JULY 20, 2010

Meeting called to order: 7:10 pm

Minutes approved from the June 2010 meeting.

Present: Morgan Aberle, Phil Dahl, Sean Kiffe, Jennifer Murray, Nicole Vazquez, Lorla Victoriano, 
Reed Holsinger, Jaime Sargent

PRESIDENT: N/A

VICE PRESIDENT: KSC soccer camp for U6-U10 on August 18-20 from 6:00-7:30PM at Manasco Field. Cost 
is $25 with registration the first night (Aug. 18). 

TREASURER: Current bills to be paid: PUD - $15.37, Qwest - $42.88, Watkins (grass seed, fertilizer, 
weed killer) - $386.18, Wildwood Enterprises- $76.32. MSA to approve the treasurer’s report and pay 
the bills as presented.

DIRECTOR OF COACHES: Position open. 14 coaches signed up so far, need girls coaches especially. 
Jaime Sargent volunteered to help with this position. Coaches meeting will be August 17 at 6:00 PM at TamO.

REGISTRAR: Registration for Fall Soccer continues through July 31 at www.cowlitzyouthsoccer.com; 
click on Kelso link to register. So far we only have about 145 kids signed up which is ˝ the normal 
amount. Registration deadline is July 31! Teams will be put together during registrars' meeting on August 3.

DIRECTOR OF EQUIPMENT: Will fill equipment needs before next meeting.

DIRECTOR OF SPONSORS: Very little responses to emails sent out for sponsor requests. MSA to authorize 
$30 for gas to make visits for soliciting sponsors. 

DIRECTOR OF FIELDS: Manasco fields are in pretty good shape.

DIRECTOR OF REFEREES: Open position. Need referees! 

COMMISSIONER’S REPORT: Free coaching clinic on August 20 from 6-8pm at Longview 7th Ave; all coaches 
are encouraged to attend. Next E-clinic for coaching certification is August 13-15. CYSA clarified the 
following – players may only play up 1 year; for Rec Soccer, player passes are not exchangeable (players 
cannot be borrowed by another team).

OLD BUSINESS: N/A

NEW BUSINESS: Discussed setting up a Facebook page to improve communication with parents. MSA to authorize 
$700 for purchase of a laptop and printer for club business. Many teams practice at Riverside Park but 
restrooms are often closed – will look at renting a port a potty; Shed at Manasco field needs to be re-roofed.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15 pm. Next meeting is 7pm on August 17, 2010 at TamO clubhouse.
